At africon, distributed working is the norm. Our team sits in Germany and ten African countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa and Tanzania. That puts us exactly where we advise. It keeps us close to the markets, lowers cost for our clients and gives us real flexibility. For the model to hold, the team comes together in person on a regular basis.

Four days in Bremen
From Monday 22 to Thursday 25 June 2026, some of our colleagues from Germany worked together at our Bremen office. The conversations in between and the shared work on live topics sparked a great wave of inspiration and alignment.
Distributed working
Distributed working is often discussed as a pure cost question. For africon it is first and foremost a question of market proximity: only someone rooted in the country truly understands the local reality. Turning many individual locations into one team, however, takes regular in-person meetings. It is precisely this combination of local presence and shared days that makes the difference.
